School Council Mission Statement

We feel that it is important that the children have a voice on school matters. This has been made possible by the election of a School Council. Each child takes part in electing their class representatives who then play an important role in the development and improvement of the school.

The School council meet regularly to discuss any matters or issues of interest to the children within the school environment, surrounding community and things affecting the world around them, e.g. Red Nose Day, Children in Need.

As a School Council we talk with all pupils in the school and also link with staff, parents and community enable us to participate in decisions about fundraising and the general success of our school.

At present, due to current Covid restrictions, meetings are not taking place in the same way as normal, however our School Council have managed to raise over £50.00 in the Autumn Term which they have donated to be spent on class Christmas parties.

If you have a good idea for the school, let your School Council representatives know and they can raise it at the next meeting.
