Mrs Jacqui Beavis
Headteacher
As the Headteacher I am a member of the school Governing Board. I have 27 years teaching experience and have worked in a range of Primary Schools. I am originally from Essex but moved up to Cumbria 5 years ago - my mum was Cumbrian and I feel like I have finally settled in my spiritual home. I have 2 dogs and love to get out and about in the beautiful local countryside. I am passionate education and ensuring all pupils have a range of experiences as well as reaching their full potential. I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of Moor Row Community Primary School.
Mr Graham Calvin
Chair/Co-opted Governor
I have lived in the village of Moor Row for the past 40 years and am also a councillor for Egremont Town Council representing Egremont North which covers the areas of Moor Row and Bigrigg. I worked at Sellafield for 25 years until 2002 when I became self-employed in the building trade. I enjoy walks with my dogs and really enjoy the roles representing the community. I came to the governors as my son went through the school and I feel really passionate to make sure that the young people in our catchment area fulfil their educational needs to give them a platform to carry on for life's plans.
Mr Jeff Bone
Vice Chair/Co-Opted Governor
I am married with 3 children; 2 of them went to Moor Row School from Nursery through to Year 6 - they are now both at a local secondary school. I am currently the Technical Director of WANO (World Association of Nuclear Operators) whilst on secondment for two years having spent my entire working career in the Nuclear Industry at Sellafield Ltd. I became a governor to give something back to the school which has looked after my children for the past 10 years. I live locally and want to see the school continue to grow and develop over the coming years and I believe that by being on the governing board I will be able to offer support to achieve this.

I live in Moor Row village and my children attend the school currently. I also attended this school as a child so I have heavy investment in making the school the best it can be. I’m currently Head of Operations Delivery for a nuclear transport train company and my back ground is predominantly operations, change management, driving efficiencies for sustainable growth within the company I work for. I am responsible for front line deliveries so people skills and customer relationships is a must too.

I am a Quality Engineer with a background in Project Management and Mechanical Engineering and, having recently become a father, I am keen to support the continued development and success of the school.
Fran Lankester

I have been a parent governor at Moor Row school since March 2023. I grew up in Moor Row and was also former pupil so have lots of fond memories of the village. Now, I have a little girl who attends the school which gives me a strong personal connection to the school and its community. Professionally, I work in business improvement, where I focus on driving positive change and helping teams to achieve their goals. As a Parent Governor, I am passionate about using my skills and experience to support continuous improvement and to help ensure our school is able to provide the best possible environment for all pupils to learn, grow, and thrive.
