Nursery
All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for up to 15 hours a week of free nursery provision from the term after their third birthday.
If your child’s third birthday falls between 1 January and 31 March, your child will become eligible from the start of the summer term in April.
If your child’s third birthday falls between 1 April and 31 August, your child will become eligible from the start of the Autumn term in September.
If your child’s third birthday falls between 1 September and 31 December, your child will become eligible from the start of the spring term in January.
We also offer an additional 15 hours nursery provision free to those who are eligible. To check your eligibility, please click here.

Reception
Most children start reception full-time in September after their fourth birthday. For example, if your child turns 4 in June, they’ll usually start school in September that same year.
We welcome visits from prospective parents at any time during the school year, there is no need to wait for an open day! Please phone the school office on 014946 810620 to make an appointment to have a tour of our school and to meet the staff.
Applications for a reception place must be made through the Cumberland Council Schools Admission Team. Places are allocated by the admissions team and all offers are communicated by them to parents.
