A guide for parents and carers has been published by the Children's Commisssioner and provides information on how children access the digital world and what parents can do to reduce the risk of harms whilst still allowing their child to access online information and resources on how to safely allow them to socialise, learn and play.  The guide supports parents in demystifying common online challenges, help them to start and sustain open coversations with their child and support them in setting regular, realistic boundaries.

An activity pack for parents has also been published by the Children's Commissioner in order to help parents and carers navigate, with their children and young people, the online and digital world and will help open up conversations between the parties about the opportunities the online world has to socialise, learn and play alongside potential online harms and negative experiences.
